It has never been easy to live in a gray world that marginalizes or consumes all the blacks and whites. When did ‘exceptional’ and ‘special’ gain such negative meanings? Was it envy and huge human egos that led to such suppressive behavior against anything that stood out?
Everything innovative and groundbreaking came from people who couldn’t think or behave in the common way. These individuals were truly strong and knew where they were going. However, imagine how many exceptional women and men, full of potential, lacked the grit and self-esteem to stand out. They were eventually crushed under the social pressure to conform and be the same as everyone else.
